CERES GATEWAY V1.15
A bankrupt marine robotics team condemns their final project, sending it 3,000 meters down with no method of return. Seventy years later, the waters have withdrawn as a desecrated Earth sheds light once more on the robot in it's seas.
In which a group of nineteen year olds embark on a journey to kill god in a fungus-covered metal-infested post-human world. Here, the carcasses of the land are steel, the blood is diesel-rich, and the technology is very much alive.
The machines of old were said to have been destroyed long ago, each and every one having fallen to humanity's last and final war. Yet, some memories cannot sleep. Slowly, whispers begin to speak of an ancient marksman that wanders the rubble, calling out with a voice that searches for its own.

The world has long since fallen into desecration, the ground pockmarked from shells and the sky shrouded in a nuclear winter. As the Earth begins to reclaim it's land, the oceans withdraw, shining light onto a decrepit and forgotten machine. What was lost has been forgotten, and what is found seeks to be remembered.

RENA is one of several pre-war machines designed explicitly to hunt down, disable, and collect the data of other robots. With stainless steel hands and a carbon chassis, RENA is quick on her feet, earning her a variety of myths and legends. She was the best, and when the time came for her shutdown, she sat quietly in the maintenance bay and took her final reading. That was, of course, what she thought would be her end. What she didn't expect was to wake up seventy years later, face-to-face with a robot far older than she was.
Despite her harsh exterior, RENA is rather curious, often intrigued by the happenings of the post-war world. This curiousity leads to her becoming closer and closer to AR-EN, whom she considers a sort of living myth, as she believes AR-EN shouldn't have been able to survive as long as she did. Nevertheless, she holds a calm and collected demeanor, and prefers to speak rather than to act. However, she has little respect for other war machines, often following her code to disable and collect the data of these long-forgotten robots despite having no agency to report to. This combination of quick movement and lack of respect has earned her the name among war machines of Death.
